Sometimes...

Sometimes I feel like I am stuck in a rut.

This happened several years ago as well...and I don't remember how I overcame the seemingly endless rut into which my life is stuck.

Does this ever happen to you? Does anyone know how this feels?

I think I am moving ahead with adventurous plans, forging new trails in the life of Delia. Lately, I find that I am in the same place I was several months ago, a big muddy RUT of my life. I am not progressing. Life is boring. Honestly, I want to cry a little from feeling this way.

So, I do what I think will help.
Take some community classes...still in the rut.
Plan adventurous trips. Rut, Rut, Rut.
Cry in frustration.

I think the answer maybe to backup to where I felt I was on level dry ground and take a different approach. Now, if I can only remember where that was...

You don't need to find a new path, you need to find a different view from the path you're on, which is really hard when you feel like you're down in the muck...When this happens to me I choose something (anything) and decide to laugh and enjoy it to the fullest.

When nothing in my life seems to change (like it's stayed the same for the past 5 years or so) I feel exactly the same way. It's like we can't measure progress unless we see change. But progress isn't always so visible. I think setting goals and then working towards them is the best way out of ruts. Even if nothing else changes around you, you can see how you have changed.

I get the ruts...

we don't see our life how Heavenly Father sees our life- trust me-

rut feelings are invites for me to think differently- see things differently-

it is all a choice as much as that sucks to hear- I have come to realize that how I feel and how I react to life is a choice...and I get so mad that I can't blame it on something- but I know it is choice....

just make fun of Chay or spend some time with hime that should make you laugh-

I'm sorry you are feeling like that, I have complete confidence that you will find your way though. To quote my dad, "It all comes down to whether or not you believe that Heavenly Father knows and loves you...if the answer is yes than nothing else matters." Sometimes I get a little frustrated when he says that to me, because the things I'm going through DO matter to me, but then I realize he is right, it will all work out as long as I have faith. YOU CAN DO IT! (and by the way, you mean A LOT to me too, Love You!)

I hear you, it sucks. I agree with Shannon it is your view. I know that when I start thinking positive about everything (which is very hard for me to do)I feel like a different person. Have you ever listened to the CD's or seen the DVD of The Secret. This helped me a lot. I have the CD's if you want to listen to them.

I hate RUTS. It is so easy to slip into one, but it can be very difficult to get out of it. You will find a way.

I don't think it is a bad idea to back up to dry ground, take another look ahead, and possibly try a different path that promises a better journey to your destination.
