Things That Must Go - Seriously

So, I was driving to work last week and I heard an advertisement for UFC (Ultimate Fighting) something about children allowed, and I thought to myself, "What the ?!@@$#"!

Here's the deal. I don't really understand why people want to participate or watch to people locked in a cage fighting! I haven't ever been, but it sounds awful and barbaric, not to mention WEIRD! What is the attraction to seeing someone get beat up? Why do these things draw crowds? What would you do if your brother, husband, sister, friend, child, etc. came to you and said they wanted to be an ultimate fighter? I think I would take them to the therapist.

When I got to work that day I was sharing my opinion with my friend and she said it is a good outlet for people who have a lot of aggression. If they didn't do this then they might do something worse. WHAT THE?!@$@? She asked why ultimate fighting was worse than boxing. Honestly, I had a lame answer that day, but the more I thought about it...I agreed...I guess there will be no boxing matches for me in the future.

I think ultimate fighting must go.

Is it a double standard that I LOVE HOCKEY, even the smashing, but now detest ultimate fighting and or boxing? hmmmm.....

I don't think that it is a double standard that you like hockey, unless the ONLY thing you liked was the fighting. And I know that is not the case. I don't like to watch people fighting either, but I can almost undertand why they do it.

I want to be an ULTIMATE FIGHTER.

p.s. "Stab you in the eye with a hockey stick". Those are your words yelled at an extremely high volume in a crowd of people---and now you don't like violence. Am i the only one confused? Don't get me wrong, I completely love the 'aggressive delia', sometimes I even try to provoke her to emerge!

We were watching a movie- (don't know the title but it wasn't any of the Rocky's)- on boxing and I turned to Chay and said- this has to be a sin- why would anyone want to treat their body this way- I know that is a strong word and many would disagree but...honestly

Okay, I am with you 100% on the whole ultimate fighting thing. Ty and most of the boys in his family are totally into ultimate fighting. I don't think they would ever go to a fight but they like to watch it on t.v. I can't stand it. They only thing that it makes what they do different from the barbarians in Roman times is they don't throw in hungry lions half way through. Though, I do have to give Ty credit (and his point will only help yours), he won't watch it because he does find that it makes him feel more aggressive, which he doesn't like. There is no way that watching that sort of thing can't affect your behavior, there is just no way!
