Getting Started

Yes, I know. I am not really a fan of being "on an internet site", but I think this will be good for me...and slightly fun. Yay! My very first blog...I am so proud! I am not sure this will be a regular thing...but who knows for sure.

When I was in Europe this summer I saw this statue and took about 6 pictures of it. It is in London outside a museum...I think the National Museum of Art (not really sure, the name has slipped my mind). Okay, seriously here...what the heck?!?! What is it? Man? Beast? Manbeast? Stubs for arms and legs, what looks like breasts and possibly a pregnant belly, and to top it off a mans head. If you know what this is, or what it is uspposed to represent I would like to know...because as of now I think it is kind of creepy and very disturbing.

Oh DNell, you never fail me...you can almost make me laugh. I love that you have started a blog...I have had a blast with it so far. I love that you are into the Paris Hilton song and that you actually admitted it...you are my hero! I can't wait to read more!

Okay D'Nell, I am pretty sure that this statue is the first attempt at an interpretation of the phenomenom known as "man boobs." Up to this point men with boobs were completely misunderstood. Manzier wearing men finally made a statement. The belly I am certain is just the typical "beer belly" commonly found on men who unfortunately have boobs as well.

no way.
maybe this means that the link between mankind and beast is not so distant.
maybe it shows us that we are all kinds of things in one package. that there are many different structures and types that make up one single person. that we are much more complex and pieced than we realize. that we draw from all areas in an attempt to make ourselves the most well-rounded person we can be. that so many different experiences and struggles combine to make us a person...and even then we are not quite whole.
or maybe just some messed up breeding???
