I am so excited for school to be done so I can do some of my very favorite things. ONE of which is reading. I am starting a list of books that I want to read after school is over. Here is the list so far:1. The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck
2. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
3. The Awakening by Kate Chopin
4. The Portrait of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde
5. Walden by Henry David Thoreau
6. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens
7. The Scarlett Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
8. Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
9. Middlemarch by George Eliot
10. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
11. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee (I have already read this, but want to read it again)
12. Hatchet by Gary Paulsen (I have already read this too)
13. The Island of the Blue Dolphin by Scott O'Dell
14. The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (I have read these a million times but want to read them again)
Anyone have any other suggestions of books that I should add to my list?

Read "The Help". I loved it and the movie is coming out in August.
I second what jkhuber said! I just read The Help also, it was great - I couldn't put it down!
Ditto to the Help and also would add "the sweetness at the bottom of the pie". cute!
Quatro ditto on "The Help", did you read the "Hunger Games"?, anything by Jennifer Weiner, and if you like SciFi at all I've been reading "World War V" and it's crazy/awesome. I never thought I would like zombies and it turns out I totally do!
Ms. Delia-I also think you should read, "The Help"--and I have seen the movie-they did a great job in keeping with the book. It was awesome too-so do both!~
I have a extremely long list of books for you to read. Should I email it to you?
If you are going to read the classics, you need to have some Alexadre Dumas on that list. Try the Three Musketeers or The Count of Monte Cristo. He is one of my favorites authors! And if you can get through Charles Dickens, you are a much smarter/better person than I am.
I have Number 1 and 5 and they are are in the bookcase at moms house do not buy them. #5, i'd read it last as I think the author is over rated.
