(((Opinion Poll))) Billion Dollar Challenge

One of my very favorite things is "What If" games. I especially love "What would you do if you won a $300 million dollar lottery"

I know, I know, I need to get my head out of the clouds.

So, what would you do if you won $300 million dollars? (remember the point is to have fun...saving it all or investing or paying off debt = boring.)

FIRST, and most important... QUIT MY JOB!
2. make my own bakery.
3. start teaching knitting classes (just so I don't get bored with all my free time).
4. buy shoes... lots of shoes.
5. lipo!
6. Lasik.
7. buy clothes... lots of clothes!
8. Buy my own house.
9. Buy a boat and a truck to pull the boat.
10. Buy my red Infiniti.
But, I haven't thought about it much.

hmmm

pay off debt

and THEN

buy a simple home with a lot of function and with a huge kitchen...then the fun part would be decorating it.

the home doesn't have to be huge- but I do want land-

go on a mission with Chay

hire people without a job to do stuff around the house-

buy a camera and photoshop and pay a butt load of money for one on one training on photoshop and my camera...

throw big parties

buy a gift for everyone's birthday

buy Chay a Droid.

hire a MAID

hire a professional chef

get a massage and pedicure weekly

put my children in Montessori

surprise people anonymously with the things they desperately need

get a big TV with a Nintendo WII so I can play Dance revolution and Karaoke with my kids.

Have a swimming pool.

Get a natural gas car

have a cabin in Coeur d lane Idaho next to my siblings.

I would go to flee markets and thrift stores and buy whatever I wanted- and just give it away later if I don't want it anymore

take classes on how to sew

hmmm...I wish I could buy time. If I could I would slow down the clock on my children's growing-

major 12 days of Christmas to a bunch of families

I would travel I suppose. Not a lot. I like being around friends and family more. I would go to Brazil and Europe and then Church history sights-

I would buy snowboards and take lessons again.

I would spoil new mommies and their newborns.

I would go to 5 star restaurants and try the most amazing food.

I would match my children's earnings and help pay for their schooling- help pay- not pay for all of it.

I would somehow start a business or something in Haiti- or other destitute places that need employment.

I would have a really big garden with drip hose system so I wouldn't have to water it myself every day.

I would buy a green house and start my own annual flowers by seed.

um....clothes- anthropology, banana republic, j-crew- moosejaw...

I would have an avocado tree and the means to keep it alive in Utah.

help missionaries serve missions...

donate a big chunk to the temple fund

ok I am done.

I can probably think of some more...but you know-

I would refurnish my entire house (first-- I'd buy a house, cute cottage style, of course) to look like the Ikea catalogue. Everything in my home would be from Ikea, and everything from Ikea would be in my house.
We would go to Disneyland. For a week or two.
Visit India, eat awesome curry, and donate huge sums to Smile Train or some other international doctors' group. That would make me so happy!
I'd hire a maid. No more dishes for me! I'd cook whatever I wanted and not have to clean up afterwards. Yay!!
I'd also remodel my high school's auditorium. That thing was horrible!

You may think it'd be boring to pay off debt, but I think it's be a dream come true! Med school debt out the window and still hundreds of millions to spare...get ready huge, spacious home set up perfectly for hosting big parties and lots of guests and visitors. Big kitchen, double oven. Beautiful piano. Pool in the backyard. Huge yard with a hired gardener to keep it lovely. A cleaning lady. A walk in closet....full of new clothes and shoes. A library full of books, books, and more books, especially children's books.

A real honeymoon-type vacation...FINALLY! Beach, here I come!

Traveling around the world!

Paying off my SISTERS' student loans, and then taking them on a sisters-only vacay!

Regular professional massages.

Voice lessons with an unbelievable teacher.

Nice electronics.

New, non-hand-me-down furniture to decorate my fabulouso home.

A second car.

Nice health insurance.

Massive amounts of money to every charity I've ever admired, especially Easter Seals, cancer research, and my sister's program at an El Salvador orphanage for persons with disabilities.

Quality supplies for my hobbies, especially jewelry making.

A great DVD collection.

Lots of money for the Perpetual Education Fund.

Season tickets to a theater that gets Broadway touring companies.

Going out to eat with my man regularly.

Maybe a cook for our home, too.

Wow, my little apartment is seeming smaller and smaller by the second....maybe I'd better stop this activity....

Thanks for the dreaming! :)

pretty simple.
invest, live off the interest.
buy a home in italy.
take photos around the world and make coffee table photo books for a living/fun.
buy italian purses.
and do something charitable.
